Henrietta Mears Society
“...placing people in an atmosphere where they feel close to God, challenging them with His Word
and seeing them make a decision that will change their lives and those around them”
~ Henrietta Mears, 1937
The Story
Henrietta Mears was a remarkable woman. Throughout her lifetime she watched the world change – but Henrietta’s steadfast love for Christ and His timeless truth never wavered. Christ was her rock, and his Word was the light unto her path.
In the twilight of her years, Henrietta chose to establish her legacy through Forest Home. She wanted to create a place where the youth and adults of tomorrow could leave behind this world’s ever-changing values and, instead, enter a place where they could hear the whispering voice of our changeless God. Forest Home is a place where guests meet Christ and learn the same enduring biblical truths that were Henrietta’s strength and guide throughout her life.
Passing along God’s message of truth and grace through Christ is the responsibility of all Christians, and Henrietta firmly believed that the unchanging truth which shaped her life was imperative to share with future generations.
The Tradition
Though the world’s values continue to change, Christ’s truth does not. It is a solid rock: constant, unwavering, foundational, and absolute. Christ’s truth is still alive, still dynamic, still immutable, and it remains our duty to pass on what we have been given.
The Henrietta Mears Society offers an opportunity to do this. The Society is composed of people with vision, Christians who want to see Christ’s unwavering soul-saving message handed down undiluted to the next generation and until Christ returns!
The Henrietta Mears Society offers this opportunity through the inclusion of Forest Home in your estate plans. In joining the Society, you partner with Henrietta and other Christ followers by ensuring the future of Forest Home and establishing your legacy as one marked by foresight and wise stewardship.
The Legacy
The simplest way to be a part of the Henrietta Mears Society is by naming Forest Home as a beneficiary in your will or trust. You can also contribute an endowment gift or personally benefit through a planned gift through the Forest Home Foundation. The official names you can use are Forest Home, Inc. or Forest Home Foundation.
Our Foundation staff is available to discuss gift planning options or assist you with wording.
